About this event

The new science curriculum is upon us. Do you feel ready? Join us for a 90 minute, in-person workshop where we explore scientific methods and how to apply them throughout the year to your other science units. You will learn what "The Scientific Method" is, its alternatives, and why they are essential to how science is practiced and taught. You will get the opportunity to ask questions and plan how your students can apply scientific methods to all science units. Our aim is to have you feeling more confident teaching science!

Our presenter, Jeffrey Newton, PhD, has 10+ years of science education experience and is passionate about sharing his ideas for making science more interactive for students. As a biologist, he has had firsthand experience with applying scientific methods in his own research. But, most of all he enjoys sharing with kids how they can do the same at their own school or even at home.
